Who we are
DealerPulse SA (“we”, “us”) is dealership software operated by Veltrix Automation. This policy explains how we handle personal information under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). Questions or requests: uwais@voltrixautomation.com.
What we collect
- Dealership accounts — name, email, phone and login details of dealership staff who use the app.
- Dealership business data — vehicles, leads, bookings, finance applications, documents and messages that a dealership captures while running its business. The dealership is the responsible party for this data; we process it on their behalf.
- Car-buyer enquiries — if you enquire, book a test drive or leave a review on a dealer’s page or the marketplace, the details you submit (name, phone, email, message) go to that dealership so they can respond to you.
- Technical basics — we store small preferences (like your theme or saved marketplace cars) in your own browser. We do not run advertising trackers.
How we use it
To provide the service: showing dealers their own stock and leads, sending enquiries to the right dealership, generating documents, and producing AI-assisted content (such as vehicle descriptions) from the data a dealership provides. We do not sell personal information.
Where it lives and who helps us
Data is stored with vetted service providers: Supabase (database, authentication and file storage), Vercel (hosting), Anthropic (AI processing of dealership-provided content), and — once billing is live — Payfast (payments; we never see full card details). Sensitive integration credentials are encrypted at rest. Each dealership’s data is isolated from other dealerships.
How long we keep it
For as long as the dealership account is active or as required for legal and accounting duties (for example FICA record-keeping that dealerships must perform). Dealers can delete records in the app; account deletion requests can be sent to the email above.
Your rights (POPIA)
You may ask what personal information we hold about you, ask for corrections, ask for deletion where the law allows, or object to processing. Contact uwais@voltrixautomation.com and we’ll respond promptly. If you’re unsatisfied, you may complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa).
Security
Access is authenticated and role-based; dealership data is protected with row-level security; secrets are encrypted at rest; connections use HTTPS. No system is perfect — if a breach ever affects your data, we will notify affected parties and the Regulator as POPIA requires.
Changes
We’ll update this page when the policy changes and adjust the date above.
